Principia volleyball falls to Webster and sweeps Blackburn

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Principia struggled against SLIAC power house Webster today. The Panthers couldn't terminate against the Gorloks, coming up short with  a dismal 24 kills for the match. There were slivers of time that Prin competed well and made Webster earn the point, but for the most part Webster stayed composed and played their game without much problem from the Panthers.

Kiersten Andersen and Christine Nacewicz led the offense with six and five kills respectively. Summer Switzer, Jessy MacMullin, and Savanna Sprague led the defense with double digit digs.

Principia beat Blackburn in three straight games to complete the season sweep. The Panthers found a bit of rhythm in this match, and served tough with six aces and only two errors. Tess Rountree moved the ball around the court – mixing up her offensive attack for 15 kills. Kiersten Andersen had another competitive outing with 7 kills, and Jess Bushong put together 4 kills hitting .428 for the match. The whole team was effective defensively with six players digging eight or more Beaver hits.
