Bears maul Panthers 3-0 in St. Louis

Box Score ST. LOUIS, MO. -  #7 ranked Washington University Bears went on a rampage blanking Principia men's soccer Panthers 3-0 tonight in St. Louis MO.  The loss drops the panthers to 4-11-1 in a season in which regional opponents have had a field day with the Panthers.  An early mistake by the Panthers jumpstarted the Bears as they took advantage of a passing miscue and they made no mistake burying the ball in the back of the net.  The Panthers spent the rest of the half chasing after the ball with very minimal possession opportunities afforded them by the high pressure from the bears.

The second half was not any better as the Bears would double their lead in the 52nd minute before wrapping up the scoring with a header just four minutes later for the 3-0 advantage.  The Panthers now focus their energy to Saturday's crucial conference encounter against Webster University during Homecoming in Elsah IL.  Game time will be 1pm with conference playoff implications at stake.
