Box Score ST. LOUIS, MO. --Tonight the Panthers defeated the Fontbonne Griffins to give them their second win in conference. The Griffins played tough defense making it difficult for the Panthers to find the back of the net. However, the Panthers' patience and persistence in pinging the ball around eventually resulted in their 2-0 win.
The first goal was scored by
Rachel Publicover off of a cross by
Carlie Sanderude in the 20th minute in the first half. In the second half, Publicover scored again from a pass by
Cristina Post. Team awards were given after the game.
Rachel Publicover received the Golden Boot for her two goals, and
Carlie Sanderude was given the Lunch Pale award for her stalwart defense and sound touch.
