Principia outlasts MacMurray 1-0 in a midweek conference matchup

Box Score Elsah, IL-The Principia men's soccer team clawed their way through a rugged conference matchup with traditional rivals Macmurray College edging them out 1-0 to notch their second consecutive win of the season.  The match played on a cool breezy evening was dominated by the panthers through long spells of the match.  The highlighlander net minder made several acrobatic saves to deny the relentless panther attack time and time again through the half.
A scoreless first half did little to stall the panthers hunger as they continued their foray of attacks,  but the final pass was never quite what was required.

The Panthers had to wait till late in the proceedings to unlock the highlanders when  Dubien Tshimanga broke out on the left flank on a counter, dribbled the end line before picking out Nate Waters in the box.  This time his touch was clinical beating the seemingly unbeatable highlander net minder. Principia now improves its conference record to 3-1 and 4-9 overall with a season changing battle against Greenville College looming on Saturday afternoon in Greenville IL @4pm
