The Golden Eagles defeat the Panthers 82-52

Box Score LOUISVILLE, KY. --Saturday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky the Golden Eagles from Spalding University defeated the Panthers of Principia 82-52. This was the second conference match-up of the year between the two schools and Spalding won the pair. The rebounding edge tells the story with Spalding getting 43 and Principia pulling down only 26. #35 Jametrius Brasher was the leading inside force for the Golden Eagles - at 6'7" and 225lbs., he was more than the Panthers could handle. However, his running mate Montray Robinson - at 6'8" and 230lbs. was almost as tough. Spalding had good balanced scoring with 5 players in double figures. Principia was led by Kenny Sydness and Justin MacDonald with 15 points each. Principia Hall of Fame Coach Steve Morgenthaler was on hand to cheer for the Panthers as he traveled from his home in Bowling Green, Ky. to support the team. He sends his best to the Principia Community. The Panthers next game will be on Tuesday night, February, 7th, at home against Webster University, tip-off will be at 8:00 pm.
