Box Score ST. LOUIS, MO. —After getting thumped 17-4 Friday night in Elsah the Panther's traveled to take on the Fontbonne University Griffens in a conference double header. In game two
Greg Ball got the start throwing a complete game in the loss giving up 6 runs, but only 3 earned runs and pitched well enough to win the game. Down 2-0 the Panthers struck for 4 runs in the sixth on a couple of big hits by
Gavin Thomas and
Kit Banko. Errors doomed the Panther's in the bottom half of the sixth as they booted the ball around and the Griffens took advantage and answered back with 4 runs of their own. The Panther's rallied again plating one run in the 7
th, but it fell short losing 6-5.
Game three saw another solid pitching performance this time from
Nate Gotch who pitched 6 innings before running out of gas in the 7
th. With the game knotted at two apiece the Griffens pulled away with 6 runs in the 7
th and the Panther's were unable to respond and dropped the game 10-2.
