Marianna Hronek SLIAC Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, MO. --Senior, Marianna Hronek wins her first SLIAC Player of the Week Honor. During the week of March 26- April 2 Hronek won 6 matches: 3 singles and 3 doubles.  She contributed to the teams 3-0 SLIAC conference record and her play helped the team to defeat Maryville, University, a NCAA Division II team.   After a 6-0, 6-1 win against Fontbonne University's Sarah Mueller in singles play, Hronek battled to two three-set victories versus both Maryville University (Mo.) and Westminster College (Mo.). She won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 against Maryville and defeated Westminster's Lara Banner 7-5, 6-7(6), 7-5, coming from behind in all three sets.

In doubles play, Hronek and teammate Hilary Frandsen won all three of their matches 8-1, and the duo now stands at 3-0 in conference play.
