Nate Gotch got the start on the mound and struggled with his control walking 4 and hitting 2 batters before exiting after taking a line drive off his pitching hand. Freshman 
Jake Elmore pitched 4 solid innings in relief giving up only one run and allowing the Panthers to chip away. Sophomore 
Scott Ross pitched the final 2 innings shuting down MacMurray's offense allowing no hits and striking out 2.
The Panthers only managed 3 hits, but had runners on base all night as they walked 8 times and got hit by pitches 4 times. The Gold and Blue were unable to take advantage and their rally fell short 7-5. 
Alan Cheatham lead the Panthers with 2 RBI's, 
Gavin Thomas collected a double, 
Justin MacDonald singled and walked three times, and Robert Barnacle also singled and added an RBI. The Panthers are back in action for the final series of the season this Friday and Saturday in Elsah as they take on Spalding. Friday's first pitch is at 6pm and on Saturday first pitch is at 12.
