Box Score ELSAH, ILL. -- The Jays from Westminster traveled to Principia on Saturday afternoon for a conference match-up against the Panthers of Principia. The Panthers jumped out to an early lead and maintained the lead until the 10 minute mark in the first half. Then the full court press of Westminster caused three turnovers that allowed the Jays to take a six point lead. They were able to stretch their advantage to 11 points by half-time. The two teams played with great intensity in the second half but Principia was never able to get closer than nine points. Then with 1:30 left in the game and a 15 point lead, Westminster hit three consecutive three pointers to make the final margin 24 points with a score of 73-49. Principia was led by
Kenny Sydness with 15 points and 15 rebounds. The high scorer for the night was
Damon Wilgus with 23 points. Once again the super six from Principia gave the 15 players from Westminster a great game.
