Panthers Lose a Heartbreaker in Overtime to STLCOP

ELSAH, ILL. -- On Tuesday night the Principia Panthers lost in overtime to St. Louis College of Pharmacy by  the score 76-75.  The Eutectics hit the go ahead basket with .7 seconds left on the clock and Principia was unable to get off a final shot.  The Panthers were led by the outstanding all around play of senior captain Stanley Beal.  He had 19 rebounds and 14 points. Both Matt Jones and Damon Wilgus had 22 points for the Panthers.  Principia led most of the night but were not able to hold on for the victory.  The Eutectics were led by the hot shooting of Shawn Menckowski who had 28 points for the evening.  Principia will next host Spalding University on Thursday night in a conference match-up.  Tip-off time will be 8:00 pm.
