LINCOLN, ILL. -- On Saturday afternoon The Principia Panthers traveled to Lincoln Christian University for a nonconference basketball matchup. The Panthers started out slowly and Lincoln was able to build a 20 point lead before the Gold and Blue began to fire on all cylinders. Unfortunately the Panthers ran out of gas before they could complete their comeback and Lincoln pulled away for a 77-58 final victory. Principia was led by junior captain
Kenny Sydness' 25 points and followed by
Matt Jones' 11 points. Senior captain
Stanley Beal had a nice all around game with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Principia will next travel to Blackburn College on Tuesday for a tough conference matchup. The last time these two teams met Blackburn came away with a 3 point victory 53-50. Principia will be looking to even the score. See you there - tipoff 8:00 pm.
