Box Score CARLINVILLE, ILL. -- Tuesday night the Principia Panthers traveled to Blackburn College for a conference rematch after the Beavers won the first game 53-50. This game had the same makings with the Panthers jumping out to the early lead and not falling behind until the 12 minute mark of the second half. At that point the Blackburn depth began to show and as the Panthers tired the Beavers took the lead. Although the Panthers fought with great determination, they were unable to pull out the victory as Blackburn held on for a 74-63 win. Once again
Stanley Beal did a remarkable job on the boards, pulling down 11 rebounds and converting 5 of those for buckets. He led the Panthers with a high of 14 points.
Matt Jones and
Kenny Sydness also scored 14 points for the Panthers.
Sean Neel rejoined the team after 4 weeks on the DL to pull down 3 rebounds, score 6 points, and throw 2 assists. The Panthers next play Fontbonne University at home on Saturday afternoon, 3:00 pm.
