Panthers earn a 13-0 win over Tigers

Box Score Elsah, Ill.  - The Principia Panthers pushed past the Iowa Wesleyan Tigers to remain undefeated in conference play. The final score was 13-0. Sophomore Justine Roy scored the first goal of the game off a 50 yard dribble two minutes after the opening whistle. Senior Carlie Sanderude scored next in the 17th minute of play. Senior Hayley Cooke found the back of the net four times today, her first with 19 minutes remaining in the half and her second a minute later. Freshman Samantha Bronkar earned her first collegiate goal after an assist from freshman Rachel Perea. One minute later Bonkar found the back of the net once again. Freshman Katie Swarts also tapped in a rebound after Gabby Martin's shot, earning her first collegiate goal. Junior center defender Becca DeNicholas broke through the Tiger's defensive line putting away the Panther's 9th goal of the half.

In the second half Iowa Wesleyan continued to play a high defensive line allowing the Panthers to get in behind and score four more goals: Perea off a corner kick taken by Bronkar in the 63rd minute; Cooke in the 68th and 79th; Roy in the 86th concluding the game with a 13-0 victory.

The Panthers will play Millikin University this coming Tuesday at Millikin.  The game is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
