Box Score Saturday afternoon the Principia Panthers hosted Westminster College and came up short by the final score of 88 - 63. The Westminster squad was hot from the three point line all game long and finished 13-28 from long range. Principia was cold from the free throw line and finished only 11-21 from the charity stripe. Westminster took the early lead but Principia was able to stay within 10 until the 12 minute mark of the second half when Westminster stretched the lead to 20. Prin was not able to mount a comeback from that point forward to game's end.
Kenny Sydness and
Justin Ball led Principia with 16 points apeice and both chipped in 4 rebounds as well. Senior
Damon Wilgus had 9 points from beyond the three point line and Freshman
Sawyer Grow had 8 points on the night. Principia will now be off for the Christmas holiday and will return to face the Principia Alumni team at Hay field house on January 2nd, time TBD.
