Box Score GREENVILLE, ILL. -- On Tuesday night the Greenville Panthers defeated the Principia Panthers in a real cat fight. Principia dominated the first half of the game and went into the locker room with a nine point lead 36-27. The second half was a different story as Greenville used their superior numbers and aggressive play to turn the momentum around for a 98-60 victory. Principia battled valiantly but just didn't have enough left in the tank to keep up with the black and orange from Greenville. Principia was led by
Matt Jones' 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Matt was 9-15 overall from the field including 3-6 from the three point line.
Kenny Sydness contributed 20 points on 9-17 shooting just one game after receiving the Player of the Week award in the SLIAC for a 36 point outburst against MacMurray on Saturday afternoon. Principia will next prepare for a conference matchup against Eureka College at Hay on Saturday afternoon, 3:00. Eureka is one of the conference leaders and will be hoping to solidify their postion at the top of the conference standings.
