Box Score 2 Principia volleyball traveled to Rose Hulman and came back with a hard fought 5 game victory over Anderson University, immediately after a gut wrenching 5 game loss to Rose Hulman. The resilience the team showed in their refocus after falling just short in the first match to Rose was inspiring. Prin played 10 games in about 3 hours of "battle ball". Prin swung at the ball 364 times, and dug 215 hard hits enroute to a 1-1 day.
In the first match against Rose, Prin was pretty evenly matched. Every point was long and challenging. Game two was a highlight as Prin found themselves in a big 10-17 hole. The women kept such poise and showed such conviction as they climbed out slowly – 14-20, 17-22, 20-22, 23-24, and a big sigh of relief with a final of 26-24 Prin! The rest of the match was just as demanding, and Prin ended up on the short end of the "w" 11-15 in game five.
Prin showed a well rounded attack with everyone pounding and picking on the Rose defense.
Tess Rountree led the way with 26 kills hitting .368. Tess also took care of business picking up 25 digs and denying Rose with 3 solo blocks. Christine Nacewica was particulary effective driving Rose crazy with her consistent brilliance as she put 10 kills to the floor with only 1 error out of 30 swings (.300), and grabbing two solo blocks.
Summer Switzer had one of the best outings of her career posting a team season high of 37 digs, and serving up four aces.
After an all too familiar beginning Prin found themselves up 2-0 against Anderson, the match became difficult and Prin was reeling to keep control. Anderson was feisty and kept working the Prin court to find holes. Again, Prin found themselves in game five to earn the victory, and this time they would not be denied winning the deciding game 15-6! It was another varied attack from the Panthers. Tess led the way with 22 kills, and Christine put down 10.
Lily Richards added 9 kills, and Sierra and Jess each put 8 on the ground. Lily and Sierra had zero errors in the match. Tough consistent serving from

Molly Moser, and Tess set the stage for the victory.
Summer,
Savanna Sprague, and Deanna served 96% for the day, and
Molly Moser and Tess were close behind (93%). Savanna ran the offense well with 88 Assists and picked up 22 digs.
