Box Score The volleyball team took the court against #1 ranked Greenville today, and as usual it was a great competitive battle. Greenville left with the win, but it was a crowd pleasing close match the entire way, with Prin losing 20-25, 25-27, 26-28.

And there you have it! Ouch! It's tough to get on a roll – to find your rhythm when you aren't putting together strings of serves. Prin  kept fighting to ignite the offense, but between too many service errors and Greenville strategically serving to stall the Panther offense – Prin didn't light it up like they can. The Prin women also did a nice job of keeping Greenville's offense stymied, as they capitalized on the weak areas of the Greenville defense and forced an uncharacteristic 15% error from their offense.
The Prin women kept at it. They never gave up – that's for sure!  Prin was down 6-10 and came back to 13-11. Prin was down 18-21 and came back to tie it up 21-21. In game three Prin was down 14-18 and came back to tie it at 20-20. The Prin squad showed some mental strength in staying in the match and fighting hard. The next step is creating the mental and physical environment that lets in the "new normal". Prin has clawed their way into some competitive battles with the #1 Greenville and #2 Webster squads over the years, but this year they are committed to a "new normal" of being mentally unshakeable and believing that they can grab the win, and then doing it!
Kudos to our 100% servers –
Savanna Sprague 8/8 with 1 ace, and
Molly Moser 14/14!
Tess Rountree led the offense with 12 kills and
Sierra Sprague and
Lily Richards contributed 7 and 5 kills respectively.
Summer Switzer and Savanna led the defensive charge with 24 and 21 digs, and Tess(15), Sierrra (12) and Molly (12) were "all in" as well. The defense today was indeed soulful. The Panthers were taking care of their court with great intentionality, and it certainly aided our success in transitioning into our offense. That is where most of our Kills occurred.
It was great to play at home in front of such a supportive crowd. Thanks to everyone for coming out! We play at home again Tuesday Oct 1 at 7:00pm. More t-shirts will given awayJ
