ANDERSON, IN. -- The Principia men's soccer team was upended 3-0 by Anderson University in Anderson, IN on Saturday afternoon. Principia came out with good intentions early, moving the ball and fighting hard to gain control of the match. However, a pair of generous first half goals spelled doom for the Panthers as they dug a hole that proved to be too deep to recover from. Shortly after, a Raven forward pounced on a loose ball in the box to complete the onslaught.
The Panthers came up clawing in the second half but their efforts were continuously thwarted in a match where a comeback was never in the cards. A disappointing outing for the Panthers, and they must now regroup and get ready for their home opener on Tuesday night as they host Lindenwood-Belleville in Elsah, IL. The start is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
