Box Score Saturday afternoon the Principia Panthers hosted the Eureka College Red Devils in a SLIAC conference match-up. Although Eureka drew first blood on an opening three pointer, Principia took control at 4 - 3 and never looked back. The final score was Principia 68, Eureka 59. Principia was led by
Larry Patterson's 21 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 3 steals.
Damon Wilgus contributed 19 first half points that helped the Panthers build a 7 point halftime lead. For the second game in a row the Panthers won the rebounding battle, this time by the total of 35 - 30. Also Principia won the foul game, being charged with 20 to Eureka's 21. The victory over Eureka was a real team effort with all 10 of Principia's players scoring at least 2 points. Principia will next go on the road for another conference game on Thursday night,1/ 23, against Westminster College. Tip off will be at 8:00.
