Principia Women's soccer defeats Westminster 2-0

Box Score FULTON, MISS. - Principia women score two and shut out the Blue Jays. The game started out strong for the Panthers when junior Gabby Martin scored in the first minute. Sophomore Genevieve Smith did a good job, was aggressive and kept Westminster scoreless. The aggressive Westminster defense forced the Panthers to battle the entire game. In the second half, Martin scored again, assisted by freshman Tanya Marquardt. Team awards went to Smith and Martin for the Workhorse and Golden Boot. Other strong performances were seniors Becca DeNicholas and Nadine Marczi
 
It was a crucial conference game for the Panthers to win. Join us next Thursday at 6:00 pm to honor the seniors at they take on Spalding University.
