Box Score LOUISVILLE, KY. -- The volleyball team traveled to Louisville to battle Spalding, but came up a bit short as they lost game three 27-29. Spalding is a team on the rise with a fresh 3-1 victory over #1 seed Greenville. They took down #3 Westminster last week 3-1.
Today Spalding out hit Prin .280 to .208, even though Prin kept their errors down to their 8% sweet spot. Spalding dug 57% of Prin's attacks and Prin picked up a smaller 51%. Prin served well putting 92% in in play with three aces.
Prin kept at it, working to keep the ball flying and beat Spalding to the kaboom ball, but Spalding was able convert too often. It was a solid match from our seniors - setter
Savanna Sprague distributed the ball well and kept us in a nice offensive rhythm.
Tess Rountree led the offense with 12 kills, and Jess Bushong led the team hitting .296 with nine kills. Senior Libero
