Volleyball falls to Spalding

Box Score LOUISVILLE, KY. -- The volleyball team traveled to Louisville to battle Spalding, but came up a bit short as they lost game three 27-29. Spalding is a team on the rise with a fresh 3-1 victory over #1 seed Greenville. They took down #3 Westminster last week 3-1.

Today Spalding out hit Prin .280 to .208, even though Prin kept their errors down to their 8% sweet spot. Spalding dug 57% of Prin's attacks and Prin picked up a smaller 51%.  Prin served well putting 92% in in play with three aces.

Prin kept at it, working to keep the ball flying and beat Spalding to the kaboom ball, but Spalding was able convert too often. It was a solid match from our seniors - setter Savanna Sprague distributed the ball well and kept us in a nice offensive rhythm. Tess Rountree led the offense with 12 kills, and Jess Bushong led the team hitting .296 with nine kills. Senior Libero Summer Switzer led the team passing 2.3.

We look forward to many of you making it to Senior night this Tuesday November 4th at 7pm as the Panthers look to upset Westminster College.
