Principia's Comeback Efforts Fall Short

Box Score The Principia men's basketball team played Loras College on Saturday night and were uinable to come away with a victory. Loras jump out to an early lead when once again Principia was cold from the field. At half time Loras led by the score of 43 to 15. The second half was a different story. With just over three minutes to play Principia had cut the lead to 11 points and were on the line shooting two free throws. However, the effort to come back had taken its toll and Principia, exhausted, fell by a final score of 65 to 51. Principia was led by newcomer, Parker Davidson, with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Justin ball chipped in 12 points and 4 rebounds. Principia's achilles all night was free throw shooting, with the team shooting only 45.5% from the line, making just 10 of 22 attempts. Principia will next travel to Millikin University on Tuesday night for another tough non conference match-up.
