Box Score DECATUR, ILL. - On Tuesday night the Principia men's basketball team traveled to Millikin University for a non-conference match-up. The game was closely contested throughout with Principia going into the locker room at half time with a three point lead, 32 to 29. Principia still led by four with 9 minutes left in the game. Then the Big Blue went to their full court press and created enough turnovers to take the lead. Principia fought back but was not able to recapture the lead and Millikin iced the game as Principia was forced to foul in the closing minutes.
Larry Patterson led all scorers with 18 points and 5 steals.
Parker Davidson was second with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. The final score was Millikin 76 and Principia 63. Principia will now look forward to opening conference play on Tuesday, December 2nd at home against Fontbonne University. Tip-off will be at 8:00 pm.
