Principia men's basketball falls to Fontbonne University
First conference game of the season
Box Score ELSAH, ILL. - Tuesday evening, Fontbonne University defeated Principia College by the score of 80-65. Fontbonne used their depth to great advantage as they wore down the Principia squad. Although Principia won the rebound battle by a total of 36-32, Fontbonne won the turnover battle 12 - 18. Shooting guard Blake Welch led Fontbonne with 20 points.
Parker Davidson from Principia had another outstanding game scoring 19 points on 8-11 shooting and corralling 13 rebounds to go along with 2 blocks.
Larry Patterson did an outstanding job for Principia as floor general and was a significant defensive presence all over the court. He ended with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 3 steals.
Justin Ball came off the bench for Principia to score 22 points, pull down 9 rebounds, and block 8 shots. Principia will next host Webster University this coming Saturday, December 6th, at 3:00 pm.
