ST. LOUIS, MO. -- On Tuesday evening the Principia Panthers traveled to St. Louis for a non conference matchup against the Eutectics of St. Louis College of Pharmacy. STLCOP is an NAIA opponent from the Kentucky Interscholastic Athletics Conference. It was a close game for much of the night with the Panthers up by 6 points at half. Principia came out firing on all cylinders in the second half to take a commanding 18 point lead at the 10 minute mark. The Eutectics chipped away but were never able to threaten after that as the teamwork of the Panthers led to consistent baskets throughout. Principia was able to finish the night with a 77 to 56 lead, avenging an 11 point early season loss to the Eutectics. Principia won the rebounding matchup, the turnover challenge, and out shot STLCOP from the field 44% to 32%. Principia was led by
Kenny Sydness' 22 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals - a great all around game. Kenny had three other teammates in double figures;
Larry Patterson: 12 points,
Sean Neel: 16 points, and
Justin Ball: 15 points. Principia will next travel to Eureka College on Saturday for a conference game beginning at 3:00.
