Box Score Principia College finished its home schedule for the 2013-14 season by defeating conference rival Blackburn College by the score 80-77. Blackburn led early and went in to the locker room at half up 37 - 33. Principia came out in the second half to quickly tie the game at 41 all. Principia held the lead the rest of regulation and were up by as much as 8 points. However, Blackburn's #24, Chris Davis went white hot from the field, scoring 40 points in regulation to tie the score at the buzzer 65 all. In overtime Principia once again took control and made the shots and freethrows they needed to come away with the victory. Principia was led by

Kenny Sydness with 26 and 25 points respectively. The victory was a team effort and was celebrated as well because it was senior night and 5 Panthers finished their home basketball careers. Principia won the rebounding battle by 1 and the turnover battle by 2. The Panthers will travel to Greenville on Tuesday to finish their season. Tip-off will be at 8:00.
