Blue Jays Nip Panthers 1-0

Box Score Fulton, MO.-

Senior Scott Ross pitched a tremendous game going 8 strong innings allowing four hits, one unearned run, and five strikeouts in the 1-0 loss. Scott pitched his third complete game in a row and has been an anchor for the staff.

The Blue Jays pushed across the only run of the game in the fourth inning and would be all they would need. Scott Ross would work out of the fourth inning bases loaded jam inducing a fly out to end the threat. Offensively, the Panthers hit some balls hard but were unable to score any runs. Gavin Thomas led the Panthers with a 2 for 4 effort and a double. Christian Thomas and Hunter Mehring also had hits on the night.

Defensively, the Panthers played a solid game. Junior Christian Thomas played a tremendous game at shortstop and has been solid all season. Freshman Logan McDowell worked hard behind the plate and overall the Panthers did a good job making the routine plays.
