Volleyball loses to a scrappy Gorlok team

Box Score ELSAH, ILL. -- Webster was in the driver's seat tonight, but the Panthers never gave up. They kept working to score against a Gorlok team that was determined to not let a Prin ball hit the ground. The Panthers defense improved as the night went on, and their ability to hit open court picked up a little bit as well.

The team did a very nice job on serve receive. Sierra Sprague, Summer Switzer, and Molly Moser all passed over 2.6 (out of 3.0) for the night. 100% serving from Emma Herman, Tess Rountree, Molly and Summer helped the Panther's cause, but Webster managed to tip and throw the ball around until they caught the Panther defense off balance and scored.

The Panther offense had to work hard for kills against Webster's big block. Tess came up with 18 kills, and Summer added 7, Sierra 6, Molly 5, and Lily Richards 4.  Webster kept their hitting errors to  6%, and kept the defensive pressure on Prin, leading to  an uncharacteristic 13% error for Prin – not a recipe for success.  Summer led the defense with 15 digs, Tess with 14, and Molly with 11.

Prin plays two matches at home on Saturday – see you at 11 and 1!
