Box Score Tuesday night the Principia Men's basketball team hosted the Jay Hawks from Westminster College in a SLIAC conference match-up. It was a hard fought game throughout with the Panthers coming out on top by the final score of 75 to 57. Principia was led by
Parker Davidson, who had a monster game with 24 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
Justin Ball was a force in the middle for the Panthers with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks.
Larry Patterson had a strong game as he led the attack from the point guard position and made all his teammates better.
Jeff Ross contributed 13 points and
Joey Sanders did an outstanding job on defense, locking down his opponent until fouling out late in the game. Westminster was led by 3 point specialist Brandon Moore, who once again demonstrated his long range accuracy, going 4 for 10 from long distance and scoring 16 points. Principia won the rebound battle 35-31, the assists battle 22-12, but lost the turnover contest 15-11. Principia shot a hot 29-54 from the field but was only 9-15 from the free throw line. On Saturday afternoon the Panthers will travel to Blackburn College for a 3:00 game.
