Clarice Bruch on the other side who slotted the ball past the keeper in the 20th minute. Spalding, however, was not to be silenced and responded near the closing of the second half on a goal shot outside the 18. Nonetheless, the Panthers rallied together and with another combination between Arens and Bruch, Bruch once again found the back of the net to give the Panthers the 2-1 lead with 30 seconds remaining in the first half.
The second half was a battle as the Panthers fought to keep the lead while also preventing Spalding from scoring. The Panther's efforts were thwarted when Spalding tied the game with 10 minutes left to the half. As the game came to a close, both teams prepared for overtime. The Panthers continued to fight in the two over time periods but no final goal resulted for the Panthers so the game ended in a tie.
