Box Score St. Louis, MO. -- The Principia women's soccer team kicked off their first conference game with an unfortunate 5-1 loss against Webster University on Saturday.
The Panthers came out strong with confidence in the first minutes of play. Mid-half, Webster put a goal on the score board from a free kick. Principia sophomore
Emelie Fredrikson responded with a goal outside the 18 yard box. Shortly after, Webster scored 2 more goals to secure a 3-1 lead at half time. In the second half Principia made strides to come back but unfortunately could not get into the attack. The final result was 5-1.
The Panthers look forward to playing their next away conference game on Tuesday at Eureka College.
