Homecoming heartbreak

Box Score ELSAH, IL-- Women's soccer played Webster University today for their homecoming game.  It was an important game for the panthers, for the panthers needed a win to afford a bid in the SLIAC conference tournament.  Due to two unlucky goals in the first half, the panthers had to chase their victory from behind.  Their time came in the second half when junior, Emelie Fredrikson took a free kick shot outside the 18.  Her shot went near post where a Webster defender missed the clear and went in the back of the net to give the panthers momentum.  The panthers did a much better job building an attack but their opportunities fell short and the panthers lost 2-1.

The panthers play again on Tuesday against MacMurray at home at 8pm.
