Women's soccer beats MacMurrray

Box Score

ELSAH, IL-- The women played the MacMurray Highlander's tonight in front of a home crowd.  It was a great opportunity for the women to demonstrate their defensive discipline and offensive speed.  The panther got off to a slow start, not capitalizing on their many goal scoring chances until 12 minutes in the game.  It was a double assist by Clarice Bruch to Tanya Marquardt who finally found Sarai Marcano for the goal.  The Panthers would score again five minutes later when Marquardt beats a few Highlander defenders before finding the back of the net.  The third goal came with 40 seconds left when a beautiful cross by Emelie Fredrikson found Bruch's head to give the panthers a 3-0 lead into the second half.

The second half would result in many goal scoring opportunities, however, the panthers would not be able to find the back of the net.  The game ended with the panthers winning 3-0.
