The Principia College Baseball team kicks off their 2016 campaign this Saturday, February 27. The Panthers will be traveling to Danville, KY, to take on the Centre Colonels in a two game series. Game times are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (EST). Both games will be aired online via free online streaming, courtesy of Centre College. The Panthers enter the 2016 season with a 17-man roster, featuring 11 returners and six newcomers.
David McClelland is the lone senior on this year's team. The team captains are

Sawyer Grow (JR), and
Connor Coyne (JR).
The Panthers are scheduled to play 38 games, and they will be journeying to Myrtle Beach, SC, for their spring break trip, where they will be playing six games in mid-March. Their home-opener and first conference game will be played on March 25, against the Spalding Golden Eagles, who were voted as the preseason favorite in the SLIAC East Division.
The Panthers are excited for the season to begin this weekend, as they have been working hard during their extensive off-season in preparation for the 2016 season. Look for the Panthers to play together and with a lot of energy and focus this season. It will be a fun year, and we look forward to seeing you all at the games this spring.
