Box Score Elsah, IL-- It was a successful night for the panthers with their first win of the season over St. Louis College of Pharmacy 3-0.
The flow of the game started off slow but soon the panthers picked up speed and began controlling the movement of the ball down the field. The first goal was scored by junior,
Emelie Fredrikson, from a beautiful pass by junior
Tanya Marquardt. Eight minutes later, the panthers scored their second goal when freshman,Â
Brittany Ouellette found
Sarai Marcano on the flank who passed the ball into the middle to Marquardt who made the finish. The panthers continued attacking but were unable to finish their opportunities and ended the half 2-0.
The second half, the panthers continued to put the Eutectics under a lot of pressure.  However, it wasn't until the 79th minute when freshman
Lindsay Clarke ran down the flank and crossed the ball which was blocked by the keeper but tapped in by Fredrikson. The panthers ended the game with the win. Â
Fredrikson earned the team golden boot award, junior
Clarice Bruch earned the team lunch pale award, and finally, Marquardt earned the team einstein award.Â
The panthers play Saturday against Central College in Pella Iowa at 2pm.
