Box Score Terre Haute, IN. -- The Principia Women's Soccer team travelled to Rose Hullman today for their first official game of the season. The result was not quite what we were expecting, with a 4 goal deficit in the first half and a final score of 5-0. However the panthers are continuing to test formations and find which positions best suit players' strengths in order to concoct the perfect recipe for success.
Stand out performances of the match include
Rachel Perea with her consistent tenacity, Madi Arens and
Clarice Bruch with their contagious work ethic, and Emily Fredrikson and
Tanya Marquardt with their continuous poise and play-making in the midfield. Freshman
Chrissy Fredrikson came alive when entering the game in the first half, making great runs and keeping the ball. With each game, our defensive line continues to progress as a unit, with Freshman
Hannah Hathaway leading the efforts.
The Panthers play again this Saturday at home against Illinois College at 4:00 pm.
