Greenville, IL. -- The Women's Basketball team travelled to Greenville University for an exciting game. Although losing 49-66, the team played tough throughout the contest and were tied after the first quarter and won the third quarter.
Key moment:
Nikki Matters led the team again in scoring with 20 points and Alex Weitman added 10. The team was 10 for 14 from the free throw line and
Megan Selby hit three 3-point shots. When a few players were unable to play the second half, the rest of the team fought hard and never gave up.
Good to know:
The Panthers will have the opportunity to play Greenville again at home on Saturday, February 10th and look forward to this rematch.
They said it:
"Once again these ladies played tough the entire game. Some had to play different positions tonight but there was no reluctance to contribute wherever needed. It was fun to see points from a few players who haven't shot as much in previous games." ~Coach
