Elsah, ILL. -- Principia loses on an overtime penalty kick to #1 seeded Spalding University. Principia laid everything on the line in this important conference match up. The Golden Eagles scored first in the 19
th minute of the game. The Panther's
Kaleb Keller answered two minutes later with the help from a
Jack Rogers assist. Keller then scored again in the 42
nd minute to give the Panthers the lead. Principia would lead the game through halftime and through the majority of the second half. Spalding tied the game in the 71
st minute. The Panthers relentlessly continued to apply pressure on Spalding's defense and outshot Spalding 14 to 5 on the day. Despite the dominance in the attack, Principia ended up losing the game in the first overtime when a PK was awarded to and converted by Spalding.
