ELSAH, IL – After going 1-2 in their opening meet last week, the Principia College men's swimming team went 1-1 in their double dual meet this weekend and earn their second win of the season. The men defeated Williams Baptist College (106-51) but lost to a strong Lindenwood Univerisity – Belleville team (38-195). The men swam to 13 "best" swims that helped lead them to their win.

Thomas Rauschenberger combined to go 1:51.23 in the opening 200 Medley relay. Anderson and Rauschenberger powered the relay with season best splits. Anderson split a 30.85 50 Breast while Rauchenberger split a 24.10 to anchor the relay. Next freshman
Christian Blaney swam to a season best 6:14.65 in the 500 Free. The 100 Back saw senior
Andrew Boyd swim a 1:01.34 to add another season best for the team. Anderson then came back in the 100 Breast to go a 1:09.11, earning another season best time for himself. Freshman Christain Moore added a season best to the team with his 32.26 in the 50 Free.
Rauschenberger added a second season best in the 100 Free as he went a 56.98. Boyd got his second season best of the meet in the next event – the 200 Back. Anderson then added his third season best of the meet with a 2:36.94 in the 200 Breast. The 200 IM saw Boyd add his third "best" of the meet with a 2:27.61 lifetime best time. Freshman
Emmett Wainwright contributed another season best to the team with his 2:33.47 in the same event.
The final event – the 400 Free relay – saw two more best swum. Barner, Anderson, Rauschenberger and Boyd went 3:40.67 with Anderson splitting a lifetime best in-season time of 54.96 and Boyd splitting a lifetime best time of 51.90. Virtually everyone contributed a "best" swim to the cause and the result as another win for the men.
Next Saturday, Nov 17, the men will travel to Bloomington, IL for the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational. The meet will start at 2p.
