Carlinville, ILL. -- Kaleb Keller continues his goal scoring streak propelling the Panthers to a 3-0 win over the Blackburn Beavers.
The Panthers dominated possession and locked the Beavers into their half for the majority of the game. Keller's two goals were both PKs and the result of dribbling against a tightly packed Blackburn defense. The first PK was scored in the 7
th minute of the game and the second PK was scored in the 58
th minute.
Seth Arens scored an insurance goal in the 73rd minute off a Keller assist to seal the game off. Panther defense was led by
Carson Hussey and
EG Pierce who both played lock down defense.
Kaden Keller,
Cameron Sellers and
Cole Heinbaugh owned the middle of the park by cleaning up loose balls and winning tackles in the midfield.
George Agai and
Jack Rogers terrorized the flanks and put in a number of dangerous crosses. Overall the game was a gritty win and a strong team effort by Principia. David McLeod-Warrick and his defensive unit earned their first shutout of the season.
