Women's soccer falls to Wesminster in final game

ELSAH, ILL-- The Principia Panthers celebrated senior day against the Westminster Blue Jays for their final game of the season.

The Blue Jays would dominate most of the first half with the Panther defense scrambling for organization. The Panthers would create quality goal scoring opportunities with their counters but would come out empty. Both teams would end the first half scoreless.

The second half, the Panthers came out with an aggressive fire and had two early breakaways, if, scored, would have changed the outcome of the game. The Panthers would continue to find opportunities with the Blue Jays knocking at the door. The Blue Jays would finally catch their break midway through the half when the Panthers sadly, got an own goal off a Westminster corner. That goal would change the momentum and decide the Panther fate. The Blue Jays would capitalize three more times, ending the game 0-4 in their favor.

That concludes our season, we hope to see you next year! We want to thank our six seniors, Brittany Ouellette, Maddie Wann, Annika Friborg, Sophia Hathaway, Yana Wood, and Hannah Hathaway for their selfless service during their time on the team. They have each left important footprints on our program.
