ELSAH, IL-- The Principia women's soccer team hosted the Rose-Hulman Engineers for their second game of the season. A talented group of women arrived from Terre Haute and brought good challenges for the Panthers to work through.
The first half the Engineers had more of the run of play. Slicing through the back line at times with their speed and well-timed runs allowed them to find the back of the net three times.
The second half was a different story. The Panther back line closed down their gaps and took away the options that Rose-Hulman had been creating earlier. Principia also found themselves on the attacking side more and created a few opportunities. The second half of the game found both teams scoreless, and therefore the final score was 3-0 in favor of the Engineers.
The Panthers travel to Batesville, Arkansas on Friday night for a Saturday matchup against NAIA opponent, Lyon College.
