Elsah, IL - The Principia College Volleyball team hosted Fontbonne University tonight at Hay Field House.
The goal of the team was to maintain a consistent sense of unity and energy throughout the match, and those qualities were clearly more evident in the team's play tonight.
Alana Hinson led the team in kills as the Panthers recorded their third straight match with a positive hitting percentage.
Neha Bandrapalli had an assist on most of the kills, and
Carolina Rojas recorded her first kill of the season, which was very exciting. Freshman Krista Klava came in at critical times and played well. Overall the team still struggled to maintain any momentum and lost in straight sets, but there was better hustle and desire displayed as several long rallies gave the fans something to cheer about.Â
Head coach
Rich Eisenauer says, "it's challenging to come out in these matches and know that it will be a significant uphill journey, but our players continue to show up and demonstrate grit and resilience. I'm really proud of them."
Up Next: The Panthers will close out their return season next Monday when they host the Panthers of Greenville University. Game time is at 4:30.
