Elash, IL – On Saturday, October 30th, and Sunday, October 31st, the 15th ranked Principia Thunder Chickens will be battling for first place in the Gateway Conference Championship. The tournament will be hosted on the Principia School Campus, located at 13201 Clayton Rd. St. Louis, MO.
On Saturday, four teams are competing in the semifinals: Pittsburg State University, Saint Louis University, Missouri S&T, and Principia College. After Pitt State plays SLU at 1 pm CST, the Thunder Chickens will be playing Missouri S&T at 3 pm CST. The last time Principia played them was back in 2018, when they lost a challenging game. On Sunday at 2:30 pm, winners of the games Saturday will compete for the title of Conference Champions and an automatic bid into the Sweet 16 for Division II Nationals. The Sweet 16 round will be held at Forest Park in St. Louis on November 19-21.
