ELSAH, IL – The Principia women's soccer team hosted their conference opener on Saturday afternoon, ending in a 7-1 loss to the Webster Gorloks.
Payton Montana led the Gorloks with two goals, while Mya Stegen contributed a goal and two assists.
Dachelle Carter scored the Panthers' lone goal and fired four shots in a spirited performance. Though facing a potent Webster attack, the Panthers had several promising moments on offense as
Adriana Rucks,
Mirsa Boyer, and
Maddie Frank all had shots that were either saved or just missed the net.
The Panthers will look to build off the positives and continue improving when they head to Westminster College next Saturday to take on the Blue Jays at 5:30 pm.
