Spring 2011 Baseball Roster
Biography
Senior Year (2011)
Jeff’s blazing speed on the diamond makes him a threat on the base paths as well as an asset in the outfield. Jeff holds the single season record for double and also outfield assists. Jeff will most likely be batting leadoff and setting the table for the Panther offense.
Junior Year (2010)
Strick has continued to impress the coaching staff with his strong arm, speed on the basepaths, and pop in his bat. Jeff is one of the team's top defensive outfielders and he will either be in centerfield or rightfield everyday. The team may need to call on him to come out of the bullpen this year as well.
Sophomore Year (2009)
Jeff had a very solid freshman year, considering he took two years off from playing competitively prior to joining the team. Last season, he broke the single-season school record for doubles and had a reliable glove in leftfield. Jeff pitched a little bit last season, but was erratic on the hill. The team is looking for Jeff to be more consistent in all areas of his game.
Freshman Year (2008)
Jeff Strickland has impressed the entire coaching staff since the first day of practice. Jeff moves around on the field with a fluidity of the 15-year veteran, always seeming to be in the right place at the right time. Growing up in Orange County, CA, Jeff has a knowledge and savvy for the game of baseball. On the mound, Jeff has a good fastball with movement and offensively, he can control the bat very well and should put a lot of pressure on the defense.
