Biography
Junior year (2010)
Summerlin had a solid season in 2009 emerging as a threat at the defensive midfield position. His precise passing ability is something the panthers will need this season. As an upcoming veteran of the squad, his off field leadership will also be essential for this group. A late season injury from last season may slow down his 2010 debut but otherwise count on another scintilating performance from this up and coming midfielder as he looks to improve on his one assist from last season.
Sophomore Year(2009)
In his second outing for the Panthers, Summerlin should feature heavily as we move forward. He will see time at several key positions including the holding midfield, attacking mid and some striking as well. He was developed well and is showing his maturity on the pitch. As we move forward, it will be important that he establishes himself as one of the leaders.
Freshman Year (2008)
Jake steps into his first collegiate season as a member of a group of talented young freshman. If this core group stays together for all four years the Panthers will be looking to add a few more conference titles to their resume. Jake is a big and strong young man with surprisingly soft touch and control. His stature will allow him to take up a lot of space as a defender as well as becoming a force for winning balls out of the air. He has become a part of our affectionately named "Hungry Hippos" group of players known for gobbling up balls in the midfield. Jake played his high school ball at The Principia School in St. Louis, and is now ready to leave his mark east of the Mississippi.
