Senior Year (2011)
Returning for her final year, Wienecke will command the backline for the last time. Gaining SLIAC First Team All-Conference once again, her defense in the back greatly played a significant role in the team’s journey to the NCAA Tournament last year making it her second NCAA appearance during her collegiate career. Known for her loving support and joyful demeanor, Wienecke has shined on the field through her tenacious grace as she steals the ball from opponents and makes 40-50 yard passes effortlessly.

Junior Year (2010)
Lauren had an unbelievable season last year, and was recognized not only in the conference by SLIAC as an All-Conference 1st team selection, but also in the region as an All-Central Region 2nd team selection. She was a large reason for the Panthers success and nine shutouts. This year, she will be needed more than ever as three of the four backs graduated. The team will count on her to be their voice in the back and to ignite the defense’s intensity. 

Sophomore Year (2009)
Last year, Lauren was one of the most feared defenders. She was a starting freshman in defense that anchored the team in the back letting only three goals in the back of the net in conference games. She not only was able to snatch the ball away from virtually any opponent, but she was then able to push up into the attack. She has an incredible knowledge of the game, quick footwork, and a powerful kick that have made her an offensive menace to opponents. We hope to see her play an even larger role in the offense this year.

Freshman Year (2008)
Lauren comes to Principia from Tulsa, Oklahoma, having played for Jenks High School and the Tulsa Soccer Club. In 2006, Lauren helped lead her High School team to the State Championships. Lauren is a strong defensive player, as well as supporting midfielder. With Lauren’s strong skills and experience with the game, we anticipate great things from her this year.
