Junior (2012)
Sarah returns to the team after going abroad to Greece last fall, where she helped build a cohesive group and explore the culture of Greece and Turkey. As she got back into the “swing” of things during spring season, she brought the team a lightheartedness and joy while working hard to re-develop her fundamentals. Sarah will be a strong force in the front row with her huge blocks, quickness, and deceptive hitting while also serving as a supportive and conscientious teammate.

Sophmore (2010)
Sarah started last year as a right side hitter, but came through at the end of the season as an effective middle. She sets good blocks and has high contact on hits, which are needed skills to the middle position. We look forward to her helping us there this season. In the spring season she worked diligently to perfect quick hits in the middle and sets as a right side hitter. She is a feisty competitor with a big block.

Freshman (2009)
Sarah comes to us from the Principia Upper School, where she played as a right side hitter. For her freshman year here at the college, she'll be transitioning into the middle blocker position. Sarah has great hands and is fully capable of taking the second ball if need be. We are excited to have Sarah's strong presence and great attitude on the court.

FUN FACTS . . .

1. When did you start playing this sport and why? I started playing when I was in 8^th grade because it was the only sport at my school the interested me. I was currently heavily involved with my swimming at the time.
2. What do love the most about playing this sport?
   What I love most is the team aspect and the bonds that you create because of all the tough and stressful situations you go through as a unit.
3. What’s your favorite…
   Movie? Our Idiot Brother, Water, Friends with benefits
   TV show?  Grey Anatomy, Once upon a Time, and shameless
   Food?  At the moment egusi soup or sushi
   Restaurant? Drunken fish, African Palace, and Qudoba
   Hobbies?  I love to write poetry and dance
