Senior (2018)
Mia studied Abroad in New Zealand last spring, and returns ready to pick up where she left off – at #2 in the Nation for Digs with 705 on the season. We look forward to a great ownership of the Panther court from SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year Libero Mia, and we are ready to see her gritty determination in making the opponents work super hard to score.

Junior (2017)
Mia is showing nice leadership in the back court. Her defensive play is determined, and her presence as a primary passer is huge. Mia has a steady competitive nature that keeps the team on point, and her serves wreak havoc!

Sophomore (2016)
Mia had a very good Beach season to finish up her freshman year. She had a great chance to be tenacious day after day in serve receive and defense during Beach, and she proved herself through greater consistency and fewer “off” days. She is ready to compete for the Libero spot.

Freshman (2015)
Mia comes to us from Larkin High School, near Chicago, IL.  She has a very solid skill foundation and has played club and high school ball.  Most of her volleyball career has been played as a defensive specialist, but Mia is a versatile player who can do it all.  We look forward to having her competitive energy in the gym!

Fun Facts

When did you start playing volleyball and why?
I started playing volleyball in the 5th grade (2007). I was intrigued by getting to be on a
team with my friends and the cool jerseys our school gave out that year. I had never
really played a team sport before, but I was pumped to figure out this new game.

What do you love most about playing volleyball?
I love the team aspect of it all. It requires all team focus, togetherness, and communication. It
also takes more than one player to make the point, we’re all involved in the win.
